Welcome to the DC in 2021 Worldcon bid website.

We were greatly saddened by the news that Boston had to withdraw their bid for 2021. We wish to extend our sympathies to MCFI as DC has had to step away when the deal wasn’t there.

Although we planned to bid for 2024 on the 50th Anniversary of the Discon II, the members of BWAWA discussed shifting years at the most recent quarterly business meeting. The organization voted to make the change based on the information we received from our preferred location.

By 2021 two of the three regional airports will be connected to the Metro system with BWI connected via Amtrak and Metro.
